Hi, I’m Aishwarya Sastry
My education and training
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (#LH61541420) in the state of Washington. I received my graduate degree in applied clinical psychology from Penn State University. I am trained in several therapeutic modalities listed below, but truly believe in creating a tailored plan to meet your therapeutic needs. I have worked with people in community mental health settings and in group practice settings previously. I consider it a privilege to show up in the therapeutic space with the combined knowledge of my education, training and lived experiences as a South Asian immigrant and person of color. I operate from an anti-oppressive perspective and truly believe in creating a safe space for everyone - all identities are celebrated and welcome here!
More about my life outside of work...
I was born in Bangalore, India and spent my early years there. I moved to the US to complete my education and have been here ever since. I initially spent my time in Pennsylvania and moved to Seattle, WA in 2021 and have fallen in love with the mountains and lakes here. I absolutely love dogs and consider myself a plant mom! I love to bake, but I'm not always the best at it….. I am a recovering perfectionist and I know first hand, the struggles of wanting to be the best at everything.
